Beginner Pointe
Pointe work is a fundamental component of advanced ballet technique, in which dancing occurs on the tips of fully extended feet supported within specialised pointe shoes. Beginner Pointe is a permission-only class for dancers in Level 5 and above. The first half of the year will focus on preparatory conditioning and technique work, with the dancers passing an assessment to ensure safety in strength and alignment before progressing to pointe work in the second half of the year.
Due to the introductory level nature of this class, dancers do NOT participate in performances. In lieu of this, a class observation day may occur in June.
